I did this wrong. I put up 6 pictures, but they turned out to be in the reverse order from what they should have been. If you are looking at this and want to spend the time on it, please go to the first of the series of 6 and follow upward from that one. Only then will it make any sense. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'm new at this, and new on flickr.

This is the back side of our home in the very beginning. We moved in on October 31st, 2004, and we have since added a front deck and a back deck. From this view you can see our walkout basement door, and above it you can see our sliding glass doors.

It was hard to believe that we owned a brand new home, that I would be cooking on all new appliances, that for once in our lives, we could call the dog or cats as loud as we wanted to without bothering the neighbors. Indeed, they are several acres away!

The front of the home faces our little strip of woods, separated from us by a front yard and a driveway. We have so much privacy! For two city people, this is a little piece of Heaven!

Jack and I have been married for 7 years now, in 2008. We are fairly well established in this little community in the Finger Lakes. We do not go to Florida every winter as many of our friends do. I'm hoping we'll go down sometime during the coming winter to visit with my children and grandchildren. We only have to go to Hatfield, PA or Northeast, MD to visit Jack's children.

Jack and I are actually cousins, and we spent some good times together in the summers when we were young. We didn't hear anything from one another for a period of 50 years, and I thought I'd like to find out how he was getting along. I had been alone for many years after a disappointing marriage. I wrote to my cousin Jack, thinking he was happily married. But he had lost his wife to cancer three years earlier. He called, he came down, we laughed and cried together, and then we knew we shared enough history to be happy together. We married in 2001.

This is probably the best group I could join. I continually apologize to my friends for writing such lo-o-o-ong e-mails. I love to write. I think there are many people for whom writing is the communication of choice. Thank you for a group that accepts a lot of verbiage. Who'd ever have thought there would be a group like this???

004/365. I am starting to walk around the house with my camera, finding that half of the shots I like are the ones that just happen (I’ve only heard this a million times. About time it sank in alittle). This was the underlying theme in “Charmed Life”. I had been setting up “making” my shots when Gizmo popped in to see what was going on. Same thing happened here. I was walking around the house looking for something to shoot. I was in the guest bathroom taking pictures, of all things, a disused shower head, when I saw Gizmo in the hall. It was getting late in the day and the sun was making a soft box out of our hallway. Cat curiosity kept Gizmo there long enough for me to take this picture. Curiosity got the shot… I like that much better than that the more infamous saying.
